Analyze and optimize sourcing strategies
Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity
Analyze requirements of the commodity, including specifications and preferred supplier
Solicit and evaluate proposals for the requested commodity
Investigate and interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet requirements
Advise team members or management on appropriate supplier
Negotiate costs for the commodity balanced against quality and schedule needs
Implement purchase contracts that comply with regulations
Assure commodity delivery on schedule at negotiated price and quality standards
Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents
Coordinate methods needed to distribute commodity cost-effectively

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
