Reporting to the PMO Programme Manager, the Validation Officer is responsible for implementing and enhancing the legal entities validation process for the EIT Community.
Ensuring that all validation activities comply with EIT, HE and EU requirements.
Conduct legal, administrative, and financial validation of legal entities that receive EIT funding, through the analysis of internal and external documentation, including financial statements and other supporting evidence.
Apply and interpret relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks (e.g., Horizon Europe), and internal policies to ensure full compliance, including data protection obligations.
Manage and process large volumes of information accurately and within established deadlines.
Contribute to the development, enhancement, and implementation of systems, procedures, policies, and supporting IT tools linked to the validation process.
Provide guidance and operational support to entities and the EIT KICs, including the delivery of targeted training when required.
Requirements
A level of education corresponding to completed university studies in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or other fields relevant to legal validation, financial assessment, and regulatory compliance (or equivalent professional experience).
Written and spoken English (C1).
At least 3 years of professional experience in legal, financial, or administrative validation; compliance and/or audit across EU countries.
Solid experience in reviewing and analysing legal/administrative records, financial statements and supporting documentation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage, process, and validate large volumes of information accurately and within tight deadlines.
Proven capability and confidence to work with IT tools (M365) to efficiently manage large amounts of data.
Strong organisational skills, with a structured, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach.
Strong presentation skills in English and ability to translate potentially complicated rules and regulations into simple and concise guidelines and trainings.
