Support the company’s various operating units worldwide on all subject-matter–relevant questions
Own responsibility for monitoring and ensuring compliance with all trade and export control laws and policies across the entire group
Manage the technical implementation of the trade compliance software, especially SAP-GTS, together with a team of trade compliance experts
Design the Global Trade Compliance framework and provide technical guidelines for the worldwide units
Identify risks and develop appropriate measures and documentation to mitigate them
Promote group-wide exchange within the global trade compliance community and actively support the global training program for all relevant employees
Advise and support a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and report directly to the Head of Global Trade Compliance
Requirements
University degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent qualification
Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in export control and customs in an international company, including sanctions screening, import/export procedures, special procedures, classification and tariffing
Proven relevant advanced training and solid knowledge of international trade and customs laws
Confident handling of underlying SAP processes and relevant transactions
Strong analytical skills to identify, assess and resolve complex compliance issues
Excellent communication skills in German and English, combined with an open, service-oriented and team-focused working style
Experience delivering training and presentations, including at C-level
High self-motivation and strong interest in export control, foreign trade and customs-related topics are essential for this role
