Support day-to-day Accounts Payable processes by following established procedures (invoice entry and coding)
Maintain vendor records and onboarding documentation
Monitor AP aging and resolve discrepancies with vendors
Support annual 1099 filings
Support month-end AP accrual preparation
Monitor accounting inbox and route requests appropriately
Triage accounting-related Slack inquiries
Manage incoming physical mail related to accounting
Track open requests and ensure timely resolution
Maintain organized documentation and workflow procedures
Review employee expenses for completeness and policy compliance
Monitor Ramp transactions and follow up on missing documentation
Support new employee onboarding in Ramp
Escalate policy exceptions as needed
Assist with customer collections outreach
Monitor AR aging and flag past-due accounts
Provide data and documentation for month-end close activities under direction of senior team members
Support ad hoc projects as needed
Works from detailed instructions for new tasks and established checklists/SOPs for recurring work; escalates exceptions to Lead Accountant or Sr. Director, Corporate Accounting
Follow documented processes and keep them up to date by flagging issues or suggesting small improvements to the team
Requirements
0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related operations; internships or coursework acceptable
Familiarity with any accounting or expense tool a plus; training provided on Sage Intacct and Ramp
Experience with purchase orders, including matching invoices to POs and resolving discrepancies
Comfortable with Excel for basic tasks (sorting, filters, simple formulas)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Execute clearly defined tasks across multiple workflows, asking for guidance when priorities or situations are unclear
Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, collaborative environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
