Support all Supply Chain activities for purchased material items including design for supply chain success, material requisitioning, prioritization, material status, receipt, inventory, and customer disposition.
Support procurement efforts to maximize cost effectiveness within the schedule requirements of each assigned contract.
Identify and evaluate common supply chain risks as well as develop mitigation plans with guidance or as directed.
Help facilitate and contribute to the most effective means of acquisition, receipt, distribution, and inventory management for assigned program(s).
Monitor material budget variances and report supply chain health problems as they are discovered to the primary material manager or appropriate function, for resolution or as directed.
Provide program management support, material management, and proposal support.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience.
Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain principles and concepts.
Basic understanding of FAR, MAAR 13 and MMAS.
Experience using MRP systems software.
Familiar with LEAN/Six Sigma, critical thinking, Continuous Improvement and/or Kaizen.
Experience working in the US DOD manufacturing industry.
Understanding of industry principles, concepts, practices, and standards along with a basic knowledge of the manufacturing process; planning and logistics.
Familiar with Bills of Material (BOM) and engineering drawings.
Excel skills including Pivot tables, downloading data from database
