Responsible for leading large and small training sessions across the distribution center for safety, quality and process adherence.
Responsibilities include training, coaching, and revising training material to support warehouse departmental objectives.
The L&D Trainer will manage all training records, local training matrix, and cross training metrics.
Responsible for having a working knowledge of all distribution center positions and duties.
Responsible for classroom and initial hands-on technical training of all non-exempt DC employees in all aspects of their position.
Responsible for the development of or assisting with the development of technical training materials, Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Best Method Guides and the maintenance of all technical training and SOPs.
Responsible for SOP validation and on-floor observations –partner with Operations to ensure process execution and SOP’s are aligned.
Creates hands-on facilitators guides, modules, test and quizzes for all existing and new associates.
Facilitate classroom and on the floor training on processes, systems, safety, and ergonomic techniques.
In-depth knowledge of local warehouse training and cross training needs.
Develop and maintain training tools, including worksheets, templates, matrix, and reports.
Be the subject matter expert on the work instructions related to your training alongside your trainees as required.
Facilitates delivery of training material to all new and existing associates.
Provides individual coaching and motivation to trainees on progress and performance.
Ensures a seamless transition from training to the live production floor.
Coaches and reinforces front-line employees and leadership in applying skills learned in training.
Work as a team with all members of the operation to meet company training and quality goals.
Provide reporting on effectiveness and progress of the training experience, and offer recommendations for improvements.
Work to continually improve attrition and reduce turnover with thorough training programs.

Requirements
Highschool diploma or GED required, associate degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a distribution/warehouse environment
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications; specifically, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of hand (RF) scanners and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Experienced in project management and demonstrated success in process improvement
Must possess outstanding verbal/written communication skills and problem-solving skills
High standard of integrity and reliability; able to build trust & loyalty with others
Must be able to work in a warehouse environment
Ability to gain consensus and work with multiple departments simultaneously
Must possess the ability to identify issues and create solid corrective action plans
