About this role
Role Overview
responsible for the timely, consistent, and accurate communication of state and federal regulatory updates related to the regulatory filing of commercial plans.
Prepares, organizes, and submits the annual QHP (Qualified Health Plan) and Off-Exchange product filings for assigned states using HIOS and SERFF.
Monitors regulatory guidance and requirements affecting Centene’s commercial products.
Analyzes, interprets, summarizes and distributes regulatory filing guidance to impacted cross-functional departments.
Provides guidance to business to help them understand regulatory filing requirements and timelines.
Executes timely and accurate formal regulatory filings.
Acts as the primary contact between Regulators and the company.
Manages relationship with regulatory agencies.
Leads responses to DOI objections and CMS correction communications for assigned states.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, Healthcare, Political Science/ Pre-Law or equivalent experience required.
3+ years Regulatory experience, including product regulatory filings (CMS and/ or State DOI).
Experience preferred in commercial health insurance.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Prior experience in HIOS and SERFF systems.
Prior experience with interpreting regulatory requirements.
Advanced skills with Excel and/or Smartsheet.
Attention to detail.
