About this role
Role Overview
Provide advanced support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including operating systems and applications.
Complete firmware upgrades on PCs and servers.
Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and enterprise software.
Modify applications to meet departmental needs based on policies and standards.
Participate in projects and completing proof of concepts.
Monitor network services and equipment proactively to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network equipment and servers.
Supporting IP telephony and mobile administration.
Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory.
Ensure compliance with security policies and access controls.
Maintain accurate documentation of technical procedures and issues.
Update knowledge base articles for common issues and solutions.
Provide on-the-job training and orientation for new employees regarding IT systems and software.
Educate users on best practices for software and hardware usage.
Provide technical assistance to on-site and remote employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Office 365 applications, email, and collaboration tools.
Assist users with multi-factor authentication issues using DUO Mobile.
Liaise with local ISPs and third-party vendors for support and service issues.
Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software.
Serve as a point of escalation for Level 1 support staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex issues.
Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security protocols.
Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with security policies.
Deploy and manage endpoint protection.
Monitor security alerts and incidents, taking appropriate actions to mitigate threats.
Travel 50% or more to regional offices for on-site support and training as needed.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
Be available to work after hours and on weekends if needed.
2+ years experience with O365 including Intune, Azure and Exchange.
2+ years experience with ticketing systems.
2+ years experience with Cisco Meraki and MDM design, configuration and troubleshooting.
Network Cabling experience includes terminating network cables into patch panels.
Onboarding and offboarding employees using MSSs IT platforms.
A+, MCP, Network+, are a plus.
Flexibility to work varying hours.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Preconstruction IT experience is a plus.
Be able to work without supervision.
Problem solving under pressure.
Lift up to 50lbs, be able to climb ladders and work in environments such as under desks and small data closets.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Must hold a valid drivers license.
Must have reliable access to a vehicle suitable for the safe transport of large equipment (up to 60 inches).
