Join Givaudan's South Asia Taste and Wellbeing team as a Sales Manager based in Chandigarh.
Focus on building strong relationships with distributors and food and pharmaceutical customers.
Responsible for developing strategic initiatives to support and grow our flavors business in the assigned market.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Givaudan in this individual contributor role.
Build and maintain enduring relationships with key customers and distributors; conduct visits to existing clients and identify new opportunities through business reviews, negotiations, and product presentations.
Provide regular updates to management on opportunities for Givaudan Taste & Wellbeing within the assigned territory.
Develop comprehensive account development plans that outline customer strategies and requirements.
Manage customer orders and service levels, negotiating prices in accordance with established sales policies.
Maintain and update customer data, product portfolios, pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions in the relevant database; follow up with clients on outstanding and overdue payments.
Requirements
MBA in Business Management, Marketing, or relevant with Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
8 to 12 years of relevant experience in B2B sales within the Flavours or Food industry.
Strong knowledge of the Flavour & Food industries, with in-depth understanding of products and applications.
Technical and commercial expertise related to flavours and their end-use applications, along with a solid grasp of market dynamics and consumer needs.
Experience managing sales in the Chandigarh market is advantageous but not mandatory.
Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and drive profitable growth in a competitive market environment.
High learning agility and adaptability.
Great business development skills to multifold the business.
Strong independence, decision-making skills and proactiveness.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, coupled with tech-savvy skills too.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently between Chandigarh and Gurgaon (approximately 50% of the time).
