Research, identify, and pursue new business opportunities within the Southern California AEC market, with an emphasis on Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, owners, developers, architects, contractors, and other key industry stakeholders.
Serve as a connector between clients and Langan’s technical and leadership teams, aligning client needs with the firm’s engineering and environmental expertise.
Lead and support strategic business development initiatives, including market analysis, opportunity tracking, and pursuit planning.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop targeted strategies, messaging, and approaches for priority clients, markets, and pursuits.
Support proposal and presentation efforts, including go/no-go evaluations, coordination of internal resources, and contribution to written and oral content.
Represent Langan at industry, professional, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and strengthen market presence.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client development plans to proactively identify growth opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of business development activities, contacts, and opportunities using CRM tools and internal systems.
Contribute to the firm’s overall growth objectives by supporting cross-selling opportunities and fostering collaboration across offices and disciplines.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Design Engineering, Environmental Services, or a related field such as engineering or environmental sciences; Graduate degree preferred
10+ years of experience in sales, marketing or business development in the architectural, engineering, construction or real estate industry
Strong project management background
In-depth knowledge of and involvement in marketing and strategic business development
Superior interpersonal skills and persuasive presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
Active participation in local professional organizations
Established networks and contacts in the A/E/C sector with corporate clients is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment with multiple deadlines.
