Play a critical role in creating a culture of best-in-class clinical documentation accuracy in support of building a model of care focused on quality and health outcomes.
Work closely with both Clinicians and coding teams to participate in the Clinical Documentation Integrity program.
Leverage your clinical, coding, and documentation expertise to foster improvements in the overall quality, completeness, and compliance of clinical documentation.
Facilitate appropriate clinical documentation to ensure that the level of services and acuity of care are accurately reflected in the medical record.
Be based at The Wesley Hospital and/or St Andrews War Memorial Hospital with potential to support St Stephens Hospital and Buderim Hospital remotely.
Requirements
Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification or ability to acquire
Essential Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Demonstrated communication skills (both written and verbal) and the confidence to liaise with medical staff on patient treatment/outcomes is essential
Working knowledge and/or ability to acquire knowledge of clinical coding documentation requirements
Demonstrated experience and ability to lead, implement sustainable change, and inform key stakeholders across the organisation
Highly developed analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude in problem solving, including conflict resolution
