Collaborate with business stakeholders across various departments to understand their processes, identify pain points, and gather detailed requirements for new or enhanced business applications.
Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and workflows to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions utilizing available technologies.
Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and comprehensive functional and technical specifications, user stories, and use cases.
Partner with development teams, quality assurance teams, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
Participate in the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of business applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate application functionality and performance.
Provide ongoing support, training, and documentation to end-users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of business applications.
Act as a subject matter expert for assigned business applications, providing guidance and support to resolve issues and optimize usage.
Research and evaluate new technologies and application features to recommend solutions that can further enhance business capabilities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices within the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Application Analyst, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Experience with enterprise-level business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP, financial systems, portfolio management systems).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in creating flowcharts, process maps, and data models.
Experience with SQL for data analysis and querying is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) are a plus.
