Civil Project Engineer

Role Overview

• Support the sales/tender/project management team during sales and project execution phase in all technical related topics of civil infrastructure of wind farms, including foundations, layout, roads, crane pads and other related structures.
• Prepare the project specific foundation/layout design documentation and clarify technical details with our customers, their designers and/or execution companies.
• Review and compliance check of the project specific layout design documentation and clarify technical details with our customers, their designers and/or execution companies.
• Review soil investigation reports, comment on them and clarify open issues with customers and their soil engineers.
• Review and compliance check of foundation design calculation on basis of a technical requirements specifications, prepare reports and clarify open issues with the civil designer.
• Review civil documentation/design according to local regulations and initiate necessary modifications/updates.
• Identify risks and opportunities in early phase and develop adequate mitigation measures.
• Prepare and follow up the technical part of civil tenders.
• Technical support during construction execution
• If required, quality site visits of the civil works
• Close technical punch list items in your field of work and prepare the final documentation
• Implement and support corporate processes and tools, and develop locally required processes/tools in cooperation with the global function
• Report achievements, risks and challenges to the project responsible and the global department
• Ensure active involvement of Corporate HSE
• Regular travel within the country and abroad is part of the job

Requirements

• University degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience in the design, planning and execution of civil infrastructure, mainly foundations, roads and related structures
• Knowledge and experience with structural design of concrete structures and in particular with earthquake and fatigue considerations
• Knowledge and experience with road, site layout design, interpretation of soil investigation reports
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD or similar
• Ability to understand and to transfer contractual requirements into real life
• Competence to detect and define risks and undefined gaps, interfaces, etc.
• Self-driven and process-oriented working style
• Ability to deal and work with other cultures and technical areas hand in hand and to find solutions
• Fluent in Spanish and English
