Role Overview
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and clauses
- Advise stakeholders on contractual risks, obligations, and commercial implications
- Monitor contract performance, milestones, and compliance
- Drive improvements in contract management processes and systems
- Work with frameworks such as UK DEFCONs and US FAR/DFARS (desirable)
Compliance & Governance
- Monitor and interpret regulatory and legal developments
- Conduct compliance risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses
- Support policy development and implementation
- Deliver training and guidance on compliance matters
- Assist with investigations and incident management
Export Control
- Support compliance with UK, EU, and US export control and sanctions regimes (desirable)
Requirements
About You
You are a commercially minded professional with strong legal or compliance expertise and the ability to work confidently across multiple stakeholders. We would like you to have a legal or relevant professional qualification, good judgement and be a confident decision-maker.
You will bring:
- Significant experience in contracts management and/or compliance
- Strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory frameworks
- Legal or relevant professional qualification
- Experience in a technology or regulated industry environment
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
Desirable:
- Experience with defence or government contracting frameworks
- Knowledge of export controls
- Legal or relevant professional qualification
