Role Overview
- Uses specialized technical expertise and leadership for Finance Operations Department objectives
- Ensures established service levels are maintained and new initiatives executed
- Provides specialized subject matter expertise for revenue recognition and accounts receivable
- Assists in providing strategic direction and implementing business plans
- Acts as a subject matter and systems expert in general and revenue accounting
- Proactively resolves complex accounting issues using advanced analytical techniques
- Conducts significant research into application of accounting principles
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline
- 4 – 6 years of related experience, including experience in leading a team
- Canadian CPA designation or Payroll leadership professional certification is an asset
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong knowledge of financial and managerial control systems
- Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong business acumen with a results oriented focus
- Strong working knowledge of financial systems and software including ERP systems
- Excellent analytical ability and strong understanding of analytical concepts
