As Head of Business Development (m/f/d) you take on a central strategic role and actively shape the future of energy supply: you develop strategies to leverage the opportunities of the energy transition, build new business models and secure the long-term success of the company.
You work closely with the Executive Board & management, internal departments and external partners and are responsible for the successful delivery of key projects in the context of transformation, digitalization and sustainability.
Your division acts as the organization’s strategic think tank: you further develop the strategic direction of the Business Development area in the context of the energy transition and set clear priorities for growth, sustainability and innovation.
You conduct environmental and market analyses, identify market potential, trends and new business opportunities and translate these into concrete initiatives.
You analyze internal processes, business models and structures and develop proposals for optimization.
You also oversee the further development of existing business areas and ensure that innovations are effectively implemented in the operational units.
You lead the central sales team for energy solutions and coordinate group-wide sales activities in a transparent, KPI-driven manner.
You ensure that innovative products and services reach our customers.
You build strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders within the company, across the group and in the external market environment and maintain a strong network.
Together with your team you lead cross-divisional projects—from the initial idea to successful implementation.
As a leader you identify talent and inspire, challenge and develop the 14 highly motivated employees in your area.
Requirements
You hold a university degree, have many years of professional and leadership experience and are fluent in German and English.
You have extensive experience in strategy, corporate and business development as well as in managing complex, cross-company projects.
In addition, you bring deep knowledge of the energy sector—especially grid operations and competitive sales, smart grids, energy solutions and decentralized energy systems.
You possess strong analytical skills and can present complex relationships in a clear and understandable way.
Your hands-on mentality and your confident, reliable manner form the basis for your ability to build and leverage networks.
Demonstrating customer orientation, showing passion and inspiring others are priorities for you.
