Manage the bank’s Dutch residential mortgage portfolio with a focus on risk-adjusted performance, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
Lead strategic initiatives to transform and optimize mortgage-related processes, ensuring alignment with market developments and internal priorities.
Conduct detailed portfolio and profit analysis on long-term retail loan books to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
Design and implement portfolio strategies, including hedging, scenario analysis, pricing, and performance optimization.
Analyse trends in the Dutch mortgage and housing markets to inform product and pricing strategies.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (DNB, ECB, EBA), including mortgage servicing and underwriting standards.
Support funding and securitisation initiatives, including RMBS transactions and balance sheet management.
Drive data integration and end-to-end reporting across systems to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, offering expertise, guidance, and proactive communication.
Collaborate with servicers, originators, and external partners to ensure portfolio performance and customer satisfaction.
Deliver regular updates and insights to senior management, governance bodies, and regulatory stakeholders.
Requirements
5–10+ years of experience in the Dutch mortgage sector, with deep expertise across the mortgage lifecycle—including distribution, origination, underwriting, and servicing operations.
Proven experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, or credit risk management within the banking or asset management industry.
In-depth understanding of the Dutch residential mortgage market, including regulatory frameworks, credit risk principles, and servicing standards.
Experience with structured finance products, such as RMBS, covered bonds, or whole loan transactions, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with relevant European regulatory frameworks, including CRR, EBA guidelines, and ECB reporting requirements.
Strong background in conducting profitability analysis of long-term retail loan portfolios, identifying optimization opportunities and performance trends.
Knowledge of investment products and a sound understanding of derivatives and their application in mortgage portfolio strategies.
Solid grasp of retail credit risk management, from origination to servicing and recovery.
Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance in mortgage lending and retail financial services.
Strong data-driven approach to decision-making, combined with creative problem-solving skills.
