Write specific visual notes alongside dialogue to guide editors and producers on the creative vision.
Develop Creative Concepts & Angles: Research client products, competitors, and customer reviews to find unique "angles" (e.g., "The scientific approach to acne" vs. "The morning routine aesthetic").
Brainstorm varied hook concepts to test what grabs attention best (e.g., Shocking Statement vs. ASMR Visual).
Write Ad Copy & Headlines: Produce punchy primary text, headlines, and descriptions for Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube ads.
Ensure the tone of voice matches the specific brand persona—from edgy and humorous to clinical and trustworthy.
Iterate Based on Data: Review performance data with the Strategy team. If a script has a high drop-off rate, rewrite the middle section. If the CTR is low, rewrite the hook. Refresh successful winning ads with new script variations to combat creative fatigue.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in copywriting, specifically for DTC brands, e-commerce, or performance marketing agencies.
You understand the difference between "brand writing" (building feelings) and "direct response writing" (driving sales).
You know how to grab attention instantly. You understand that if you don't win the first 3 seconds, the rest of the script doesn't matter.
You can say more with fewer words.
You understand human desires and objections. You know how to weave social proof and urgency into a script naturally.
You can switch seamlessly between writing for a Gen Z skincare brand (slang, casual, fast) and a luxury home goods brand (elevated, descriptive, smooth).
Perfect grammar and command of American English idioms/slang is required. You must understand the nuances of culture to write effective ads.
