This position will report directly to the Chief of Field Operations and will assist the Chief in overall bureau functions.
The incumbent will attend meetings and conferences, conduct presentations around the state, and visit field offices.
This position has been identified as mission essential.
The incumbent in this position may be required to work during the weekend or on holidays.
Emergency duties may include, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
The specific functions will include assisting in management and oversight of the survey process.
This will include provision of quality assurance reviews of survey activity and assisting with development of action plans related to survey process for the bureau and/or field offices.
Researches, compiles information, manages projects, and prepares reports required in completing special assignments, compiles and analyzes data related to administrative and health care regulatory duties, and planning issues.
This position will assist with disseminating data from all federal surveys and assisting individual field offices with corrective actions as deemed necessary by the Chief.
Provides training and guidance to field offices related to scheduling of survey work, in order to maintain compliance with federal and state mandates for scheduling of survey activity.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Four years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or administrative work.
Three years of professional experience as a nursing home surveyor.
A professional degree can substitute on a year for year basis for the required experience.
Preference will be given to candidates that have successfully completed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
