Managing the day ‑ to ‑ day operation of the department’s content procurement process, including purchasing new electronic and print content, renewing existing contracts, and liaising with external vendors to ensure services meet expectations and comply with firm policies
Managing electronic and print contract compliance by monitoring usage, setting up business review meetings, and responding to contractual obligations and licensing questions
Liaising with the firm’s internal Contract Review, Privacy, Security, and Global Procurement teams to review and approve contract terms, conditions, and pricing
Supervising and authorizing invoice payments, and reviewing and correcting vendor accounts
Liaising with Research Services Managers, attorneys, and other business services teams to purchase new content, review existing research resources, and assist with promoting awareness of electronic and print resources
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Requirements
Possess superior knowledge of legal and non ‑ legal electronic and print resources
Exhibit superior negotiation and contract management skills
Demonstrate superior communication skills
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
A master’s degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.), preferably
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of cumulative experience
