Perform network monitoring, reporting, and facilitate recovery from degraded or failed services in support of the US Government customer’s Network Operations Center (NOC) and Service Monitoring Center (SMC)
Provide technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions
Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software problems related to monitoring tools
Plan, brief, and execute efficient Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) with minimized impact to daily operations
Monitor and support performance of critical infrastructure, including network, storage, database, Mainframe, and other components and services
Manage service or infrastructure outages or degradations via ticket creation and coordination with Help Desk, technical Subject Matter Experts, or support agencies for recovery
Open, manage, and close service status flags for outage or server degradations
Maintain ongoing monitoring and communication of service flags through phone, email, and other means
Investigate and document recovery and root cause of outages
Support and maintain monitoring tools, researching, and testing improvements for recommendation and implementation
Create and update documentation needed to configure, operate, and recover monitoring tools and capabilities, Common Operating Procedures (COP), and other processes
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated experience using systems, troubleshooting issues, monitoring data and supporting operational processes
Must be US citizen
Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
Two or more years' experience in Network Operations (preferred)
CCNP Certification (preferred)
Valid Security+ Certification (preferred)
Active secret security clearance or higher (preferred)
