Analyst, Asset Management

Role Overview

• Reporting to the Director, Finance and Manager, Investments, the Analyst’s responsibilities include financial/sensitivity analysis
• Identification and implementation of value‐add strategies
• Creation of annual operational and capital budgets
• Liaison with property management teams
• Attending acquisition site visits
• Performing monthly site visits across the entire property portfolio
• Assisting with obtaining quotes and sourcing vendors when necessary
• Providing clear direction to the management team
• Ensuring properties are obtaining turnover and achieving market rents
• Performing monthly reports on the portfolio and findings from site visits

Requirements

• Completion of a post-secondary degree in finance, accounting, or economics
• 2+ years of related work experience in Real Estate considered an asset
• Strong financial modelling experience
• Adequate knowledge of contracting and capital expenditure work
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs
• Self-motivated, team-player, able to work independently
• Experience, ability, and willingness, to work beyond normal business hours if required
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and operating vehicle
