Provide essential support for day-to-day financial operations serving both field and domestic ministry teams.
Support the Finance Director (CA) with month end and year end closing activities.
Perform scheduled revenue uploads from Salesforce into Sage.
Import payroll data from the payroll provider and post entries in Sage accurately.
Conduct regular reviews within Sage to identify and correct data issues.
Ensure balance sheet account reconciliations are completed and prepared for Senior Accountant review.
Prepare accruals and interdepartmental allocations for Finance Director (CA) approval.
Prepare wire transfers and other disbursements with a high level of accuracy for approval.
Maintain regular communication with program finance staff to provide assistance with day-to-day financial operations.
Support the Finance Director (CA) in optimizing the use of accounting software by troubleshooting and resolving software issues, performing system maintenance, etc.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including general ledger work, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Proficiency with accounting software including Sage Intacct.
Familiarity with nonprofit or international financial environments, including institutional or high compliance donor grant management.
Progress toward a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or professional experience demonstrating a strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
Experience with accounting for grants and restricted funding is preferred.
Proficiency in an additional language beyond English, with Spanish or French especially valuable.
Experience collaborating with culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
