Work in collaboration with the East Region business development and operations team on pursuits.
Partner in the preparation of formal and informal responses to client solicitations, including expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts.
Assist with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines).
Coordinate content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan, and production.
Provide conceptual leadership for document design.
May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
May facilitate color review (Pink and Red team) reviews and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals.
Manage the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.
Participate in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to proposal preparation.
Complete internal debriefs for proposals they lead and review client feedback on proposals to ensure continuous improvement.
Liaise with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information, including case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries.
Provide guidance to entry level proposal team members.
Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree + 2 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to support proposal activity or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field (preferred)
Developing knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry and AECOM’s projects, people, credentials, and competitors.
Developed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
A solid understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.
A strong working knowledge of word processing programs (e.g., Microsoft Word), spreadsheet management (Excel), and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint), as well as desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), graphics programs (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop).
A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
An understanding of CRM. Salesforce experience is a plus.
Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to work on multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.
Basic experience with industry best practices and procedures to support positioning, client or business development processes.
Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.
Proven organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule, and lead deliverable efforts by others; and the proven ability to manage documents.
Ability to exercise discretion with confidential/ sensitive issues.
