Responsible for producing, supervising, and managing the creation of engineering products on a wide variety of civil engineering design projects
Help teams to define the problem, establish the work scope, prepare budgets and schedules, plan the work, and provide technical direction
Perform complex technical engineering tasks efficiently and accurately
Lead and mentor less experienced team members
Prepare and check detailed engineering calculations, models, drawings, and specifications
Provide technical engineering services during construction
Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients
Requirements
4-year degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
10 years or more of recent civil structural engineering design experience, including inspection, analysis, load-rating, design, and construction experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
Ability to provide effective technical mentoring to less experienced engineers
Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in BC and/or Ontario or Alberta
Technical knowledge of civil structural engineering design and analysis principles
Excellent technical report writing experience and skills
