About this role
Role Overview
- Execute tax calculations to prepare the related reports, and perform all other controls and processing for the area accurately and in accordance with deadlines and other provisions set by current tax legislation.
- Calculate indirect taxes (PIS, Cofins, ISS on services received and provided, and withholdings at source).
- Generate reports of assessed taxes (accessory obligations) in electronic files for recordkeeping and submission to the competent tax authorities, and manage deadlines for mandatory filings.
- Operate the tax system, entering data related to the nature of transactions, tax parameters, rates, legislative changes and other information to keep it properly updated.
- Provide technical support to company departments on tax-related matters.
- Stay up to date with current tax legislation and extract and update information from the Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal) website.
- Assist external tax consultants (contracted), providing information on department routines, calculation workpapers and other requested data.
- Perform other related duties as required by the department, including KPI-related tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
- Experience with tax legislation applied to withholdings and calculations for PIS, Cofins, IRPJ (Corporate Income Tax) and CSLL (Social Contribution on Net Profit)
- Experience with tax compliance obligations (tax payment slips and payments, issuance of tax ledgers and tax forms)
- Advanced knowledge of computer tools and management software (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Experience analyzing inconsistencies
- Knowledge of the Tax Reform
- Continuous improvement mindset and focus on system automation
