About this role
Role Overview
Streamline the end-to-end order fulfillment cycle — from sales order creation to picking, packing and shipping — to reduce lead times and error rates
Implement and optimize shipment order automation, carrier rate comparison and freight management within D365 F&O Transportation Management (TMS)
Define and document operational workflows for receipts, cross-docking, inventory transfers and shipments
Design and oversee EDI integrations with suppliers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and warehousing partners (850/855/856/810 or equivalents) using D365 Data Management or middleware platforms
Collaborate with integration architects on inbound/outbound interface specifications, error handling and reconciliation processes
Ensure connectivity with logistics platforms, carrier APIs and external WMS systems
Configure the Purchasing and Procurement module, including purchase agreements, supplier catalogs, approval workflows and three-way matching
Automate lead-time management — supplier lead times, safety stock rules, reorder points — to reduce stockouts and excess inventory
Streamline accounts payable processes, including automated invoice matching, payment journals and supplier self-service portals
Support forecast-driven production scenarios using production control, master planning (MRP/MPS) and demand forecasting modules
Configure bills of materials (BOMs), routings/operation sequences, production orders and capacity planning
Work with planners to improve S&OP processes using D365 Planning Optimization
Facilitate requirements workshops, map current and future state processes, and conduct gap analyses
Author functional design documents (FDD), test scripts (SIT/UAT) and training materials
Manage the backlog, coordinate custom solutions with the development team and track defects to resolution
Provide intensive post-go-live support and drive continuous improvement cycles
Requirements
More than 5 years of functional ERP experience, with a strong specialization in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Supply Chain) or the equivalent Microsoft AX suite
Hands-on configuration expertise in: Transportation Management (TMS/freight management), inventory and product information management, purchasing and procurement, production control, and sales and marketing (order management)
Proven experience implementing full D365 SCM lifecycles, from requirements definition to go-live, within multi-site and multi-entity organizations
Experience designing and supporting EDI integrations with suppliers, carriers and/or warehousing partners
Deep proficiency in D365 Data Management (DIXF) for data migration and interface design
Proven ability to document functional requirements, author FDDs and guide development teams
Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex system capabilities into simple business language for non-technical stakeholders
Authorized to work in Canada without restriction
Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken (this role requires interactions with international colleagues and clients)
