Role Overview
- Oversee day-to-day office operations for our Athens office and support our New York office remotely.
- Ensure the office is a great place to work: managing layout, proposing improvements, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Manage office supplies, snacks, drinks, swag and general provisions.
- Liaise with building management on maintenance issues, guest arrivals and facilities matters.
- Track and manage office spend, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with company policies, and liaise with Finance on budget allocation and requests.
- Own the cadence of social events: from team lunches and breakfast socials to after-work gatherings, fostering camaraderie and connection in the Athens office.
- Organise key cultural events for both Greek and US teams (e.g. Pita Day, Summer and Christmas parties) and support the US team with their activities.
- Collaborate with the broader People team on company-wide events such as company offsites and orientation days, leading on ideas generation for social and team-building activities.
- Design, propose and execute global cultural initiatives, ensuring alignment with company and people goals.
- Source gifts and tokens of recognition for key occasions and milestones (e.g. new arrivals, work anniversaries).
- Support the rollout of people programmes and initiatives as part of the People roadmap (e.g. swag, buddy system).
- Be a first point of contact for employee People-related queries in Greece, escalating to the appropriate team members where needed.
- Support the onboarding of Athens-based employees, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from day one.
- Own and maintain people-related content on Confluence (our main intranet), keeping it accurate and up to date.
- Continuously look for ways to improve people processes, identifying opportunities for automation, AI efficiencies and simplification of complex workflows.
