About this role
Role Overview
- Lead and develop a team of event managers and service staff
- Supervise banquet staff, porters, and bartenders to maintain high service standards throughout the event
- Serve as the lead on-site contact for weddings, managing the seamless transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception
- Coordinate with external partners (caterers, florists, photographers, and DJs)
- Conduct detail meetings to finalize floor plans, menus, and run-of-show
- Ensure all venue facilities are maintained
- Responsible for FOH payroll and manage Venue budgets
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 yrs. experience as a team manager in a comparable restaurant or event environment
- TIP/RAMP Certification, or willing to become certified
- Serve Safe Certified, or willing to become certified
- Strong work ethic and excellent multi-tasking skills
- Personable and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours), nights, weekends and holidays.
