Role Overview
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts to tight deadlines.
- Own and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are fully supported, reviewed, and cleared in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, unusual balances, and reconciling items.
- Ensure the business is audit-ready at all times, with clear documentation and supporting schedules.
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, responding to queries and providing evidence as required.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Review financial data for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with AP, AR, payroll, and finance systems to ensure strong data integrity across all ledgers.
- Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and business decision support as required.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, controls, and reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting or a similar role.
- Strong experience in balance sheet reconciliations, controls, and month-end close.
- Experience preparing for and supporting external audits.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong control mindset.
- Confidence working in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
