Role Overview
- Responsible for creating and monitoring standard policies and procedures for all patient billing and collections
- Ensure HIPAA privacy compliance for assigned entities
- Act as key member of Revenue Management Team
- Establish standard Patient Billing and Collections process
- Act as subject matter expert on billing and collections
- Support and advise internal and external customers in billing and collections issues
- Recommend and implement improvements to Billing and Collection processes
- Develop and implement policies to ensure proper billing and collections of fees
- Train ASCs on proper business office policies and procedures
- Perform assessments of business office policies annually
- Assess performance of billing systems
- Identify and implement preferred billing systems at Centers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of healthcare billing experience is required
- Knowledge of Ambulatory Surgery Center operations is preferred
