Lead and manage the team on a day‑to‑day basis, including workload allocation, capability and licence oversight, coaching, regular 1:1s, appraisals, and absence management.
Provide technical supervision and expert guidance across casualty and motor caseloads.
Build and maintain effective relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders.
Oversee end‑to‑end claims handling from notification through to resolution.
Work collaboratively with insurers, counsel, and internal teams to progress claims efficiently.
Maintain accurate records and electronic files, ensuring full KPI/SLA compliance.
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk.
Monitor volumes, live hire, portal performance, and retention to ensure balanced capacity.
Requirements
Proven experience in claims management, preferably in motor or casualty.
Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with bordereaux reporting and insurer liaison (desirable).
Familiarity with internal claims handling for law firms or corporate entities (desirable).
