Maintain and grow a portfolio of medium-sized and large C&I customer accounts.
Build strong relationships within the Eastern Washington and Western Idaho business community.
Act as the local, on-site representative for the program and CLEAResult, meeting directly with businesses, plant managers, and facility teams.
Encourage customer participation and help overcome enrollment barriers.
Develop and deliver proposals tailored to customer needs and load-reduction opportunities.
Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customer questions, concerns, and event participation support.
Educate customers on how DR events work and help them identify operational strategies (e.g., shifting production to off-peak hours) that reduce grid strain.
Explain program requirements, incentives, and changes with clarity and professionalism.
Verify implementation steps and ensure all customer paperwork is accurate and complete.
Ensure customers understand expectations before, during, and after DR events.
Troubleshoot technical or programmatic issues; recommend solutions aligned with client and program specifications.
Work with engineering and program staff to evaluate technical requirements or changes.
Record and track customer interactions, documentation, and status updates using program-approved systems and processes.
Support program operations by preparing sales forecasts, tracking participation metrics, and communicating updates to the Program Manager.
Travel throughout the Eastern Washington and Western Idaho, conducting on-site customer visits, assessments, and in-person engagement activities.
Requirements
5–8 years of relevant industry experience (energy programs, DR, utility programs, C&I account management, or technical sales).
A Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant certifications may substitute for experience).
Familiarity with commercial/industrial operations, facilities, or energy use patterns.
Comfort driving program success in a new or rapidly evolving program environment.
Enthusiasm for energy efficiency, demand response, and supporting grid resiliency.
Willingness to travel across a geographically large region.
A self-starter approach — ideal for individuals who work well independently.
