Support end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states and countries using Remote
Review and validate timekeeping data, including hours worked and PTO, ensuring accuracy before payroll runs
Process payroll changes including new hires, compensation updates, terminations, bonuses, and adjustments
Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.), including enrollments and life event changes
Manage contractor lifecycle operations, including agreements (SOWs), onboarding, and invoice schedules
Coordinate offboarding processes, including system updates, benefits terminations, and cross-functional alignment
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll and benefits, and support internal documentation and process improvements
Requirements

4+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, or a related function, ideally in a high-growth or distributed company
Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals, including taxes, deductions, and compliance basics
Experience working with payroll systems and HRIS tools (Remote.com experience is a plus), including exposure to international payroll
Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., lookups) and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines and handle sensitive information with discretion
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent), as most collaboration at Circle happens asynchronously.
