Leads, assembles and facilitates responses to complaints, company appointments, and/or general changes to laws and regulations
Liaises with regulators based on issue/coordination of multiple stakeholders to determine business objective, regulatory requests, analyzing and accountable for investigating all allegations and/or accuracy of corporate data
Serves as subject matter expert and proactively communicates insights for all DOI requests and/or complaints
Serves as a financial services regulatory subject matter expert to team members and business partners by effectively challenging to ensure internal processes are consistent with regulatory requirements and issues or gaps are appropriately addressed and mitigated
Provides recommendations and feedback to business units regarding appropriate action to support the regulatory request
Assists in the management of federal/state regulatory agency relationships and provides required regulatory feedback
Provides insights in to distribution of work assignments to ensure timely deliverables are achieved
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree
8 years of experience providing support on regulatory or compliance matters within a financial services and/or insurance industry environment
3 years of experience independently and accurately responding to regulatory inquiries
Extensive experience in the regulated financial services or insurance industry and demonstrated knowledge and application of current applicable regulations and regulatory expectations
Experience prioritizing and influencing in a highly complex environment while maintaining attention to detail
Advanced knowledge and application of risk management frameworks
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management to affect change
