About this role
Role Overview
- Lead and oversee the steel structure discipline within the “Arabelle Solutions” Site Technical Office based at the Hinkley Point C site in the United Kingdom
- Monitor the steel structure contractor on site on a daily basis and respond to technical questions (Technical Queries – TQ)
- Coordinate responses with the steel structure design office based in Italy and the layout team based in France
- Implement on site the design change requests issued by the project (Design Change Request – DCR) through the preparation of Field Site Instructions (FSI)
- Coordinate input data among the various stakeholders: general layout & structure & piping teams, steel structure design office, steel structure supplier, and erection contractor
- Manage BIM “IFC” files using Navisworks Manage (clash detection, design verification, progress monitoring, etc.)
- Manage project documents and deliverables using the “Master Tracking Application” (MTA): deliverables schedule, reporting, etc.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Strong experience in a civil engineering design office for industrial projects, ideally in the energy sector
- Proficiency with codes and standards such as Eurocodes and the International Building Code (IBC)
- 2D CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent)
- Knowledge of BIM software (TEKLA, REVIT, BIM Vision, Navisworks Manage)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent command of English required (reading/writing/speaking)
