Role Overview
- Defend lawsuits filed in Pennsylvania courts
- Researching laws and preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
- Rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
- Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial
Requirements
- 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
- Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED
- Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar REQUIRED
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must be able to document files in a clear, concise, professional written manner
- Must be able to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts
