Develop and lead the organization's business development and market strategy
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and commercial agreements
Structure and negotiate complex, long-term agreements with partners, customers, and service providers
Build and maintain a strong external network across relevant industries and stakeholder groups
Conduct ongoing market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform strategic direction
Develop risk identification and mitigation frameworks related to commercial exposure
Represent the organization externally at industry events and contribute to brand positioning
Recruit, build, and lead a business development team over time
Contribute as a key member of the senior leadership team

Bachelor's degree in a business, technical, or related field
15+ years of progressive experience in business development, commercial strategy, or a related function
Proven track record of developing and managing large-scale, long-term commercial agreements
Strong strategic planning capability with an ability to think and operate across long time horizons
Demonstrated leadership experience including team building and performance management
Self-starting, entrepreneurial approach — comfortable in a lean, growth-stage environment
Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Post-graduate degree or executive education credentials (preferred)
Experience in capital-intensive or project-driven industries (preferred)
Familiarity with complex multi-party contracting structures (preferred)
International commercial experience (preferred)
