Build and sustain strong talent pipelines for Sedgwick County by partnering with department leaders and hiring managers
Support timely and effective recruitment efforts
Focus on proactive sourcing, outreach, and relationship-building within the community
Participate in career events, job fairs, and networking opportunities
Deliver a professional, inclusive candidate experience
Serve as a trusted resource throughout the recruitment process
Support the use and continuous improvement of HR recruiting systems
Ensure recruitment activities align with employment policies, equity principles, and best practices
Coordinate Countywide recruitment with input from the Director of Employment and Training
Represent Sedgwick County at career and community events statewide
Collaborate on recruitment materials and career site updates
Monitor applicant flow and candidate quality
Coordinate Veterans’ Preference reviews and notifications
Maintain related standard operating procedures and training materials

Two years of professional experience in personnel recruiting, employment services, human resources, or a related field
OR one year of recruiting experience for a Sedgwick County department
OR two years of experience with a Sedgwick County department in forward-facing customer service or client-based services roles
Up to one year of the required experience may be substituted with relevant education, training, or coursework
valid US driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance
access to a personal passenger vehicle to complete the driving duties of the position.
