Develop group and meeting business through direct sales solicitation.
Establish a client base of group and meeting business through solicitation and actively qualifying and prospecting new business.
Achieve personal KPIs and team goals as assigned, including room nights, ADR, food, beverage, meeting room and revenue goals.
Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines.
Accurately produce and/or review all group and meeting sales proposals and contracts.
Understand key drivers at comp set hotels and have a solid understanding of business and travel trends.
Cross-sell into other market segments for key accounts, such as business travel, restaurant buy-outs, etc.
Monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client RFPs or Sales Agreements per established departmental policies and procedures.
Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
Disseminate sales-related information to other departments as appropriate.
Arrange and conduct site inspections and off-site presentations for potential clients.
Entertain clients per established company and hotel policies and guidelines.
Assist in the accurate forecasting of all bookings specific to segmentation.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
Maintain client files and update information regularly per established departmental policies and procedures.
Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for assigned markets.
Attend and represent the hotel at industry trade shows, conventions, networking events and/or participate in sales trips to key feeder markets.
Follow up with key clients (post-event) to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings. Share feedback accordingly.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Strategically use Hilton sales tools and resources to uncover new business and maintain existing.
Maintain relationships with Hilton Worldwide Group Sales.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant third-party planner parties/organizations.
Assist with the creation of group and event/catering promotions.
May assist in developing and implementing sales plans.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
College or University Degree plus a minimum of 3 years of hotel sales manager experience, ideally in the groups and meetings market.
Must speak and write fluent English.
Other languages preferred.
Strong knowledge of market and group pricing strategies.
Possess strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
Strong reporting and analytical skills.
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
Attention to detail, solutions-oriented, organized.
Strong Microsoft Office skills; knowledge of DELPHI a bonus.
Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
May require a valid Driver’s License.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
