The Sales Manager assists the Division Vice President in managing the overall success of assigned branches
Maximizing profitability
Generating sales individually and through the leadership of others
Monitoring the performance of the sales teams
Re-allocating resources to improve overall results
Supervising the sales performance of multiple branches
Implementing corporate initiatives, policies, and procedures to support the overall direction of Motion Industries
Achieving accounts sales and profit goals within a defined geographic area
Covering all aspects of sales, including strategic and product planning, account management, training, and sales support
Collaborating to identify and secure new business opportunities and improve operational effectiveness
Developing sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals
Creating action plans to penetrate new markets and cultivate customer relationships
Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions
Developing and delivering sales bids/proposals/presentations and conducting product demonstrations
Coaching sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organization's products and services, sales techniques, procedures, and standards to achieve sales targets
Requirements
Typically requires a bachelor's degree
five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience or the equivalent combination
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional level of drive and passion for results
Ability to coach and provide feedback to direct reports
