Provide tax compliance consulting to other departments and monitor the action plan for ICMS SP credits;
Manage the portfolio of B-FAT*2 system projects and participate in strategic projects involving indirect taxes with other areas;
Coordinate all activities related to the calculation and assessment of indirect taxes; validate and approve all indirect tax calculations and payments;
Coordinate the quality and timeliness of submission of indirect tax ancillary obligations to government authorities;
Coordinate the implementation of new indirect tax obligations and ensure reconciliation of indirect tax accounts;
Lead tax compliance processes, respond to internal and external audits, and provide correct tax information in purchase requisitions;
Manage the process for receiving fiscal invoices (Notas Fiscais);
Ensure correct integration of tax data into Synchro;
Establish higher standards of ethical behavior within the area, ensuring compliance with energy and environmental rules and guidelines for execution of all processes under your responsibility (RASI matrix);
Promote a culture of energy and environmental compliance, ensuring product compliance rules and guidelines are met in all processes under your responsibility and fostering a product compliance culture;
Advise other personnel in Volkswagen’s SAM region, subsidiaries/associated companies or partner organizations, upon request and in consultation with the appropriate responsible parties, promoting the Group’s Principles of Integrity and Risk Management; approve payments and the engagement of tax consultancies, law firms and IT consultancies; and represent the company before audits, public authorities and Brazil’s Tax Reform Commissions;
Monitor tax incentives and report status to Tax Authorities, Volkswagen’s Executive Board and other stakeholders, ensuring all tax requirements are applied in Billing and Receivables systems; evaluate and implement legal requirements in line with the Brazilian Tax Reform (consumption); manage tax litigation, and pursue tax recoveries arising from judicial proceedings while responding to Tax Authorities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Law or related fields;
Postgraduate degree in Tax Management / Law is desirable;
