Role Overview
Working with practice group chairs, Brussels office leadership, and BD colleagues to ensure close coordination across the region and globally on the practice’s strategic priorities
Collaborating with firm resources to prepare research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new client relationships and the enhancement of existing ones
Staying abreast of developments and trends in relevant areas, while developing in-depth knowledge of, and acting as a resource on, lawyer and practice group expertise, the client base, and relevant trade organizations
Identifying and overseeing compelling thought leadership opportunities in partnership with lawyers, BD, Events and Brand & Communications
Supporting the integration of lateral partners and the development of junior partners
Providing practice-specific guidance to the firm’s New Business Team on pitches and RFPs
Developing and maintaining practice content for the proposal management system and ensuring that all necessary BD materials are up to date
Overseeing the development of practice-specific directory and award submissions
Requirements
Strong understanding of core marketing and BD principles, including communications, events, branding, market research, competitive intelligence, credentials and pitching
Relevant BD and marketing experience in a legal or professional services environment, ideally within Antitrust & Competition or similar practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and another European language (preferably French or German)
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
