Lead the planning, design, and execution of IT integration or separation activities across multiple workstreams (infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data, analytics, etc.) during M&A transactions.
Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and external advisors to align IT integration/divestiture strategies with overall deal objectives.
Assess, map, and document the current IT landscape, identifying integration opportunities, risks, and dependencies across people, processes, and technology.
Develop and manage detailed IT integration/divestiture roadmaps, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Lead and manage IT due diligence to evaluate a company's technology assets, systems, and processes to identify risks, liabilities, and opportunities before M&A transaction.
Oversee the migration, rationalization, and consolidation of IT infrastructure, business applications, and digital platforms.
Ensure robust cybersecurity controls and compliance throughout the integration or separation process.
Drive data integration and harmonization initiatives, enabling seamless business operations and effective reporting post-transaction.
Leverage AI/ML and analytics to optimize integration outcomes and uncover new business value.
Support Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts to facilitate user adoption, minimize disruption, and support cultural alignment.
Help establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and M&A trends.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in IT integration, divestiture, or transformation roles within M&A environments, preferably with exposure to large-scale, complex transactions.
In-depth understanding of M&A terminology, deal structures, and transaction lifecycle.
Strong expertise in IT infrastructure set-up, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data integration, and analytics.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML solutions and their application to business integration challenges.
Demonstrated success in program and project management, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with leading consulting methodologies is highly desirable.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Prosci (OCM) are a plus.
