Conducting financial analysis on a portfolio of counterparties
Assess credit risk and work closely with commercial and legal teams
Negotiate credit language in different types of master power agreements
Monitor the credit quality of a portfolio using financial statements and industry research
Continuously monitor industries for outsized risks and recommend credit limits
Request and manage collateral as needed
Produce daily reports to inform decision makers
Maintain systems and databases with relevant credit data
Anticipate, make, and meet margin calls
Develop relationships internally and externally
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, math or related technical fields
Two to four years related experience or equivalent
Familiarity and interest in energy commodities trading
Prior credit and energy industry experience are a plus
Acute attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Unlimited curiosity and willingness to ask questions to understand complicated issues
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Accountability for work product and ability to adapt and learn in a dynamic market environment
Ability to make quick but accurate decisions under pressure and escalate when needed
