Independent management of a portfolio of battery energy storage projects from submission through to Ready-to-Build (RTB) status
Coordination and active advancement of all permitting processes, in particular building permit procedures, privileged projects under Section 35 of the German Federal Building Code (BauGB), and development/land-use plan procedures (if required)
Primary point of contact for municipalities, permitting and building authorities, and external experts, planners and consultants
Preparation, submission and active follow-up of all permitting-related documentation
Handling inquiries and conditions from authorities and ensuring timely implementation
Tracking milestones, deadlines and risks across multiple parallel projects
Proactive identification of permitting bottlenecks and development of pragmatic solutions
Representing projects in meetings with authorities and municipalities as needed
Requirements
At least 2 years of professional experience in project development within the renewable energy sector
Practical experience managing projects through German permitting and approval processes
Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and/or solar projects
Solid understanding of building permit procedures and working with authorities
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and drive them forward consistently
Very good written and spoken German for collaboration with municipalities and authorities
