Role Overview
- Managing the field logistics and updating company project managers and contractors
- Ensure the mission critical projects comply with all engineering standards, codes and specifications
- Work with Project Managers and Superintendents to provide direction and support in managing operations
- Oversee the logistics of the job
- Generate reports for division leaders
- Monitor projects costs to stay within budget
- Prepare, review, and approve supplier purchase orders
- Validate, reconcile, and maintain accurate quantities for billing purposes
- Identify out of scope work for the purpose of change orders
- Produce drafts, manage and maintain project submittal/RFI/logs for lead project manager
- Schedule and facilitate utility meetings and document conversations
- Prepare change orders, manage trucking logs and invoice approval
- Perform on-site safety observations
- Identify, complete, and apply for local permits
- Develop and maintain good working relationship with all stakeholders
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- 1-3 years of estimating and managing projects experience in related scope of work, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work with field concepts and work in the office
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective motivational and supervisory skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to maintain compliance with all Veit policies and procedures
- Ability to respond to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle record
