About this role
Role Overview
- Lead solution architecture discussions and reviews
- Define solutions aligned with scalability, resilience, security and business requirements
- Create technical diagrams (C4, flows, integrations, messaging)
- Build functional POCs to validate technologies
- Define and promote standards: Hexagonal Architecture, Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Support teams in the adoption and use of Azure services
- Act as a subject-matter expert in event streaming (Kafka / Event Hub)
- Define MongoDB usage patterns for distributed environments
- Implement resilience patterns: Circuit Breaker, Retry, Bulkhead, Timeout
- Contribute code in Java (17/21+)
- Participate in ADRs (Architecture Decision Records)
- Perform high-impact code reviews
Requirements
- Experience as a: Solutions Architect, Software Architect, or Senior Tech Lead
- Strong knowledge of Java 11+ (preferably 17/21)
- Experience with Spring (Boot, Cloud, Data, Security)
- Experience with Hexagonal Architecture
- Experience with Clean Architecture
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Apache Kafka
- Experience with Azure Event Hub
- Experience with MongoDB in distributed environments
- Knowledge of Azure Blob Storage
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Strong understanding of resilience patterns
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS) and CI/CD
- Ability to build POCs and communicate technical decisions
- Knowledge of Angular (plus)
- Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400) (plus)
- Experience with Dynatrace (observability) (plus)
- Knowledge of GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux) (plus)
- Experience with Event Storming (plus)
- Knowledge of API Gateway, OpenAPI and AsyncAPI (plus)
