Day-to-day handling of a portfolio compromising of Motor claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and settlement, in accordance with Global Claims Handling guidelines, service standards and regulations
Ensure reserving philosophy is adhered to and reserves booked are in compliance with company protocols
Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams in connection with claim issues, trends, review of reinsurance contract language and service standards
Build and maintain relationships with brokers and market peers
Monitor trends and developments in Casualty claims and keep underwriters and actuaries up to date
Keep up to date with legal developments, i.e. relevant case law; new and developing precedents; changes in legislation that impacts the portfolios
Collaborate with members of the Global claims team on common claims and internal processes to ensure consistency
Requirements
Previous and tangible Claims experience, dealing with claims from cradle to grave, preferably including Motor, but applications from those with EL/PL & Casualty experience will also be considered
Business acumen and an understanding of the clients' needs
Ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients, including Solicitors and Brokers
High level of financial and commercial awareness
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail to carefully analyze information
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks
