Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for development of mechanical parts including sheet metal, machined alloy, thermoset, thermoplastic, copper busbar, solenoids, electrical contacts and assemblies.
Build and maintain Bills of Material for MRP and Manufacturing.
Assemble prototypes and execute physical testing to prove critical design requirements.
Apply product design knowledge for Design for Safety and Reliability principles including DFMEA and CQCS.
Participate in design reviews, testing, validation, and manufacturing release activities.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electronics/systems engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing.
Provide engineering support for production and quality issues, including RCA and corrective actions.
Interface with manufacturing plants to support day‑to‑day production needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Evaluate and implement design changes related to reliability, cost reduction, manufacturability, and component obsolescence.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency with Creo 3D modeling software
Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with applied understanding of electrical power concepts.
Internship or co‑op experience with ATS or similar electromechanical power distribution products.
US citizen or those who have the legal right to work in the US with no sponsorship
